Paxton sponsored HRMAC’s International Interest Group Meeting on May 14th in Chicago. In attendance from Paxton was Freddy Paxton, Morgana Somers and Maureen Longoria. The focus of the meeting was “Top HR and Employment Law Tips for Entering and Operating in the Middle East and Africa”. The program began with a panel discussion which provided insight into some of the challenges of mobilizing talent in the Middle East & Africa. Two panelist, Julie Sullivan from EuroMonitor International and Emily Stephens from Aon brought their own personal perspective having lived in those regions of the world. At the same time, Bill Greer Global Mobility Manager from Kellogg and Nicole Colen, VP of HR from AAR Corp discussed the issues from a corporate perspective. When the panel wrapped up the attendees were provided with an opportunity to attend 3 different roundtable discussions which went into more depth in the areas of Logistics, Immigration, Security/Safety, Destination Assistance and Cultural Issues. Paxton’s International Household Goods Manager, Morgana Somers, served as a SME for the Logistics Roundtable.
