2013 Holiday Luncheon

As the holiday is about family and loved ones, it is also about a unique camaraderie among our staff. I have seen 39 Christmases come and go, but this was right up there with the best of them! It was truly a family affair as employees gathered and shared food and stories. Bill, David, Fred Sr., & Freddy give their welcome announcements as the rest of the staff gathered to accept longevity awards, which is amazing as many of our staff are old timers with 20-40 years of service.

The following employees received Yellow Sapphire Pins for 5 years of dedication: Springfield - Brenda Blanco, Bruce Carr, Margarita Hernandez, and Ron Cadle Office Moving - Victor Rivas-Diaz Paxton International - Stephanie Chupin, Gallagher Dempsey, Bibi Misir, Michael Nsingi, and Sonia Palacios Charlotte, NC - Brooke LeBlanc and Christine Probst

10 Years of commitment was recognized through Blue Sapphire Pins: Springfield - Syprachanh Chamountry and Eric Smith Paxton Record Retention - Sang Doan Sandston, VA - Christopher A. Lee, Jr.

15 Years Ruby Pin loyalist: Record Retention: Kathleen H. Paxton

20 Years of allegiance was bestowed with an Emerald Pin: Springfield - Mildred (Bunny) Blair and Alan Hebdon Record Retention - Edgar DeLeon

25 Years faithful was acknowledged with a Diamond Pin: Office Moving - Timothy Armstead

30 Years or more were given a nameplates for “Beep Horne” Plaque: 30 years - George Pugh 35 Years - Mike Mehlfelt, David Kelly, and Steve Johnson

The awards ceremony was followed by the annual holiday luncheon and the traditional chili cook-off. The four categories of chili judged for prizes were: 1- Vegetarian or white chili (turkey), 2- Traditional (no beans), 3-Chili with beans, and 4-spicy. Participants were assigned a number for impartial judgment and prizes were handed out by Bill Paxton.

The food was great and the opportunity to relax and share time with one and other was unparalleled.
