Norfolk Export Seminar

Todd Janssen represented The Paxton Companies at the City of Norfolk Export Informational Seminar that took place at Thursday, May 28th. The Seminar was put on by the City of Norfolk Economic Development department, those in attendance were from businesses and service providers throughout the state who wanted to learn more about exporting their products overseas.

The presenters talked about a wide range of topics, from a basic introduction to international exporting to naming specific emerging markets overseas and how to start working with such areas of the world. The seminar was moderated by Peter H. Chapman, the Deputy City Manager of Economic Development for Norfolk. He focused on their ‘Norfolk First’ project which will launch in July 2015 and will be the advocate for businesses wanting to dip their toes in international exporting.

The event was a great education session for all in attendance. We took away valuable industry updates and not to mention the great networking sessions that were involved. Paxton looks forward to becoming a part of Norfolk’s massive growth in the coming years.
