2014 Real Estate Trends Conference

Todd Janssen from the Paxton Companies had a chance to attend the 2014 Real Estate Trends Conference at the Greater Richmond Convention Center, it was presented by the VCU Kornblau Real Estate Program. The conference outlined trends in real estate that are affecting the Richmond, VA market as well as a way to connect with your customer through a different look at economics. Ken Riggs, president and CEO of Real Estate Research Corporation, said that the real estate market is approaching an inflection point and that the next 12 months are the most critical that they have seen since the credit crisis began.

The keynote speaker for the event was Stephen J. Dubner, co-author of the very popular book “Freakonomics.” He spoke about his 3 cardinal rules for collecting data to best connect with customers. It was a privilege to sit in on this conference to listen to industry leaders and we hope to be able to attend in 2015 for their 25th anniversary.
